What Is a Memorial Diamond?
A memorial diamond (also called a cremation diamond, ashes diamond, or hair diamond) is a lab-grown diamond whose carbon is sourced from human or pet cremation ashes, or from hair. The finished stone has the same crystal structure as other lab-grown diamonds and can be cut, graded, and set into rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, or other custom jewelry.

What Materials Can Become a Memorial Diamond
We work with cremation ashes and hair (human or pet). Materials are handled respectfully after written confirmation—never ship until we confirm packaging and address in writing.

We offer six memorial diamond colors (no green). Colored memorial diamonds are priced at a 10% premium over the corresponding white loose price. Final color availability and appearance are confirmed before your order is locked.

How We Make a Memorial Diamond
Our process follows a standard lab-grown memorial diamond workflow. We do not claim proprietary R&D formulas beyond ordinary industry practice:
Carbon analysis & purification
Ashes or hair are analyzed and purified. When needed, Alpha may supplement with an additional carbon source so the grow can meet production standards.
Lab growth
Purified carbon is grown into a diamond crystal under controlled high pressure and high temperature conditions.
Cutting & polishing
The rough diamond is cut and polished to the agreed shape and carat target.
Optional jewelry setting
Set into a custom ring, pendant, earrings, or other piece through our jewelry custom / OEM service, then ship finished jewelry.
Order Process

Inquire — Share preferred carat size, color (white or colored), cut/shape, and whether you want a jewelry setting.

Confirm specs & pay 50% deposit — We confirm pricing, timeline, certification options (GIL or IGI when arranged), material instructions, and payment terms in writing. A 50% deposit starts the project.

Ship materials after written OK — Only after written confirmation, send about 50 grams of ashes or 1–2 grams of hair per diamond to our Guangzhou address (or as we instruct).

Your custom memorial diamond can be combined with Alpha Jewelry’s jewelry custom / OEM setting service. We can design and manufacture the setting, set the memorial diamond, and ship finished jewelry—rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, and more. Settings are priced separately and quoted case by case. Typical metal options include 9K / 14K / 18K gold, platinum, and 925 silver. 1-piece MOQ is available for memorial commissions.

How much ashes or hair do I need?
About 50 grams of cremation ashes or about 1–2 grams of hair per diamond. Carbon content varies by material. Alpha Jewelry may supplement with an additional carbon source as needed to reach production standards for a successful grow. We will explain this clearly when you inquire.
Why might you add another carbon source?
Not every sample contains enough usable carbon for a reliable grow at the requested size. Supplementing helps meet production standards so the diamond can be completed successfully. We discuss this openly before you commit—never as a surprise after materials arrive.
Are memorial diamonds real diamonds?
Yes. Memorial diamonds from this service are lab-grown diamonds with the same crystal structure as other lab-grown diamonds. White stones target D–E color and VS clarity. GIL or IGI certification can be arranged when eligibility is confirmed.
How long does ashes-to-diamond production take?

Do you offer pink, blue, or other colored memorial diamonds?
Yes: Pink, Red, Blue, Black, and Yellow, plus White. Colored stones are +10% over white. Final color availability is confirmed before production. We do not offer green.
Can jewelers order for clients?
Yes. We support B2B memorial diamond orders and can manufacture finished jewelry. Start with size, color, cut, and setting brief, then confirm material handling with us. 1-piece MOQ is OK.
How do you handle memorial materials safely and respectfully?
We confirm packaging and shipping instructions in writing before anything is sent. Do not ship irreplaceable materials until you have that written confirmation. Materials are handled through our Guangzhou (Panyu) fine-jewelry workflow with clear order tracking and English support.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Shipping method, insurance, and documentation are agreed before the balance payment and dispatch.
